We got rained out on the Fourth, but here's a couple of photos of what we did instead.

First, it was tough coping with the rain. Everyone was so sad. (Although, I must admit that just a few minutes later some of us were feeling much better, thanks.

So, instead of barbecuing, we went into town and caught some old fashioned red, white and blues and later, it turned out there were fireworks after all:

whoosh!
boom!
aaahhh!

She's my niece.

In my case, I've only got maybe 3 years until the dating apocalypse.

And, already, she loves making the veins on dad's head pop out.
